i wanted to just make clear that it's for my boyfriend's birthday. he's older than me and turning 21. i want to take him out but i'm not old enough.

i will not be drinking. i just want to enter the bar without being carded. this was not made clear in my other posts to other communities and people were kinda rude to me about it.

anyway. thanks. :)

You can get away with going to McMenamins and being under 21 as long as it's before 9pm. The restaurant section will not card you until 9pm. Hope that helps!

What, you again? :-) Just kidding!

I wish you'd made your intentions clearer in your other post, you would have gotten very different responses.

Anyway, as the other person said, McMenamins lets minors in (though it won't let them drink). So you can sit at the bar or at a table with your boyfriend and he can drink and it's all perfectly legal. The Mcmenamins Tavern on NW 23rd allows minors till 10 pm. Below is the link so you can get the exact address and directions.

Also, most any restaurant that serves alcohol will let you in the door, and only card you at the table if you order a drink. So again, your boyfriend and you can sit at the same table and he can drink and again, it's totally legal so long as you don't drink yourself.

Hope that helps.
